Squash trivia

I found out a month ago  that the main root of my squash plant died already yet the sprawling leaves  are alive and still bear fruits.  I harvested one of the fruits, about 2.5 kilograms but still immature, hanging on a nearby tree and cooked ginataan squash and squash soup. From it..deliciously fresh, Iate what I planted!!!!!
