Banana Plants sa Hardin ni Juan

I love banana plants. They grow on their own and multiply. all you have to do is plant them and the they'll survive on their own.  If only the farmers grow bananas, they will never go hungry.

This is cavendish. I bought 3 seedlings early last year 2012  at the QC Seedling atP50.00 each. They multiply fast. This is the first fruit of the 3 seedlings.

This is Dwarf Mama Sita Banana. Last May 2011, I bought 2 seedlings in Los Banos, Laguna at  P40@. The first fruit was harvested in 2012 and it tasted so sweet. it was a blend of  latundan and saba? This is  the second fruit.

Lots of saba bananas....

Alexa, the Little Farmer

Alexa is only 4years old but she enjoys farming. She sowed  various vegetable seeds. I am happy to see her do farm work with her little hands.

Dragon fruit update

After 8 months from planting, Some  of my dragon fruits have grown beyond the tires, while some are still climbing up the posts. It feels so good seeing my plants grow week after week.  Please see my pictures below taken last 8-30-13.....

Espalier ni Juan

In my small space garden, fruit trees take most of the space. Espalier may be the best solution to my small space, that is why I decided to embark on my new project Espalier Ni Juan. wish me luck! I will record the progress of my projects.
